The Calphalon 7 quart slow cooker is A MIRACLE. My family was never home for dinner because I never had enough time to cook. I bought this instead of a traditional, cheap crock pot thinking it would improve the quality of my dinner. I WAS RIGHT! It’s funny because I spend about 10 minutes prepping for dinner, set my slow cooker, and forget it until my food is ready! better yet, my family eats with me because the food is so good. THEN, they eat the leftovers …there is no food being wasted in my house!…

I have several Breville products and am always impressed with their high quality.
I love the easy sear insert and the included roasting rack. Seared meat and vegetables have much more flavor. With this slow cooker, you are able to sear a roast in the insert over the stovepot, take the roast out to insert the rack, put the roast back in, add the rest of your ingredients, and then put the insert into the slow cooker until finished. So easy and so tasty! You can also use the insert to make dishes normally not done in a slow cooker. After cooking the dish on the stove, you can put it in the slow cooker and keep it warm. Perfect for potluck dinners. You can’t go wrong with this Breville Slow Cooker!

I work almost everyday (including Sundays) so this pot has been my life saver (or the dinner saver). My older one was 5qt. cool touch Rival. This All-Clad cooker cooks so much faster than my older one (the inside temperature of All-clad gets 230F in high setting). Ribs and 5 pound chicken done in 4 hours in high. If you want crispy chicken skin, let it cook for 6 hours. I highly recommend this product.

By the way I put small roasting rack when I roast chicken or ribs so that they don’t stew in the dripping. Save the dripping broth. Put it in the fridge overnight, and get rid of the fat. And use it in your soup or stew, of course, this cooker can do that job just fine as well.

…if you are considering ditching your old cheap crockpots, save your money and hold out for this one, you wont be disapointed…..it’s great.
